We are the California Transcribers and Educators for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CTEBVI), a non-profit 501(c)(3) professional organization of braille transcribers, educators, parents, students, paraeducators, community members, and other advocates for K-12 blind and low vision students.

CTEBVI’s annual conference attracts approximately 500 national and international participants. Our conference is scheduled for April 16-19, 2026, at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, centered around the theme of “Strategies for Success.” This event presents a valuable opportunity for transcribers, educators, parents, and students to exchange innovative strategies and best practices while establishing supportive networks. Your involvement will play a crucial role in ensuring that these professionals and advocates have access to essential tools and resources that promote independence and self-reliance. Held over four days, our 2025 conference will offer: This conference is a unique opportunity for teachers and braille transcribers to share innovative techniques and best practices, build support systems, and hear directly from students.
